Scanning Bag & Filling Items 

How do I create a new bag in the app?  #

Scan the QR code on your Cyclothe Bag using the app. You’ll need to grant camera access for the app to scan the bag’s QR code—please ensure this permission is enabled. Once the QR code is successfully scanned, your digital bag is activated. 

How do I add items to my Cyclothe Bag?  #

Once your digital bag is activated, you can start adding items to your bag by following the on-screen prompts. For each item, you’ll be asked to: 

  • Upload at least one photo of the item 
  • Select the type of item (e.g., shirt, pants, or jacket) 
  • Provide the brand of the item 
  • Indicate the fabric composition 

Why do I need to provide detailed information for each item?  #

The information you provide significantly contributes to the pre-sorting process and is vital for circularity efforts! Your input is validated at the sorting center, and a unique “Digital ID” is created for each textile item. This ensures full traceability of the data while meeting environmental and regulatory requirements. 

Can I edit or remove items I added to a bag?  #

Yes, you can edit or remove items before dropping off the bag. Navigate to your active bag, select the item, and make the necessary changes. 

What types of waste does Cyclothe accept?  #

Cyclothe accepts textile waste within the categories of clothing and home textiles. This includes: 

  • Adult and children’s clothing 
  • Outerwear and activewear 
  • Fabric-based accessories like scarves, hats, and gloves 
  • Home textiles such as bed linens, curtains, and tablecloths 

Please note that shoes, bags, jewelry, and other non-textile items are not accepted. Only fabric-based items fall within our recycling system to maintain efficiency and sustainability.
